Biceps at Garden Ridge

I've been trying to find a small mirror for my gallery wall and haven't had much luck.

I hadn't been to Garden Ridge in quite a while so I decided to check it out. I remembered them having a big selection of mirrors (and plastic flowers) the last time I was there.

Garden Ridge is like a giant warehouse filled with home decor items. Here are some of the rugs.

I ended up buying this rug for my kitchen.

All styles of mirrors in various price levels.

I thought this one was interesting but a little pricey.

(Hobby Lobby half priced ads are a much better deal for large mirrors.)

Okay, this mirror had a price tag of $59.99. I saw the EXACT SAME MIRROR earlier in the day at Goodwill for $7.99. (Yes, you read right--$7.99!) I had almost purchased the mirror at Goodwill but didn't need it so left it for some other thrifty shopper.

This is what I came to Garden Ridge for. I ended up buying the silver mirror but tomorrow I'm going to exchange it for the gold one. I think the gold will look better with my (unfinished) vision of my gallery wall.

I bought these canvasses for my master bathroom toilet area. (I guess it would be called a room even though it's more the size of a broom closet.)

They had so many lamp shades. (Great if you needed a basic style.)

All different sizes of picture frames.

Candles and candle holders galore.

They also had more taste specific decor.

(You may wonder who would buy a full size suit of armor for their home. Well, my next door neighbors did. They had a very large home and the armor actually worked with their traditional decor--who knew?)

Garden Ridge had a large pillow selection.

I really liked this pillow.

And this one, too.

I originally went into Garden Ridge to look for a small mirror and ended up with a cart full of goodies.

I went in line to pay and there were a few people ahead of me with full carts. (And only 1 checker--of course.) The woman who was just starting to check out had a cart FULL of tiny items that each needed to be wrapped.

The checker looked to be in her mid eighties--no joke.

(So you can probably guess that my stereotypical mind was thinking that I would have time to clean out my purse, pluck my eyebrows, finish the novel I was reading and take a little nap before it was my turn...)

Boy was I wrong!

This clerk was like GREASED LIGHTNING! She was crazy fast!

When it was my turn to check out I noticed that she had well developed biceps.

Not THIS developed! (ick)

More like this.

When she went around to load my cart I noticed that she was wearing Skechers Shape Ups. (True story!)

Totally the highlight of my day.
