Salt Water Taffy Wreath

Look Ma, no glue! This is a super easy wreath to make with your favorite candy.

The supplies needed:
1) Wire hanger
2) 2 bags of salt water taffy *
3) Scissors
4) Curling ribbon
*I needed more than one bag of taffy. I really don't know how much of the second bag I used since (I) the kids and their friends kept getting into it.

Bend the hanger into a circular shape. It doesn't have to be perfect since the taffy will be covering it.

Cut the ribbon into about 4 inch strips. (Or whatever length ends up being easiest to work with.) I usually cut around 10 at a time.

Tie a piece of taffy to the hanger using the paper twist on the end. I usually just knot the ribbon twice.

Fill up the hanger.

When you're finished you have a couple of different options:
1) Cut off the ribbon ends.
2) Curl the ribbon.
3) Leave "as is" for the hairy look.

I did a combo of curling and cutting.
You can try different colored ribbon and candy for different holidays, too. I did a Fourth of July themed wreath a few years ago with red and white mint candies and blue and red ribbons.

The hanger end can be painted to blend in or it can be hidden if you use a larger bow on the top of the wreath if it bothers you.
(Does anyone know of any helpful hints so my pictures are the direction I want them?? Lame.)
