Goodwill restocks their shelves with "new" (used) items daily so it's a good idea to be there when the store first opens (9am) to have the best selection. That being said, they also stock items throughout the day as well. So it's usually just hit or miss.
Today as I was looking over all the items in my cart and deciding which I was going to actually purchase, I spied one of the workers coming in from the back with a cart full of "new" (used) merchandise to put out on the shelves. I stopped him right away when I saw two larger items hanging out of his cart. A wrought iron piece and a heavy duty wood and wrought iron panel. I told him I was going to buy them before I even pulled them out of the cart. (That's how you do it.) The wrought iron piece didn't have a price on it so he took it to the back to get a pricetag.
Meanwhile, I stood there right outside the door and waited for him while keeping my hand on the panel the whole time. A shopper who was right behind me asked if I was going to buy both the panel and the wrought iron piece. (You have to answer with a firm "YES" or the other shopper will try to talk you out of buying it so that they can get their (grubby) little hands on it. And you want to keep your OWN grubby little hands on it.) The worker returned from the back and said the price was $3.99. Ah, yes please!
I went up to the checkout and another shopper rushed up and started handling the panel and looking for the price. It was only $6.99. (Crazy, right?) She said that she would have bought both of them if she had seen them first. (Well, Duh!) She then turned to the clerk and told him that both pieces were priced too low. (Oh, no she didn't! Oh, yes she did!) No, matter. I was the one walking (smugly) humbly back to my car with the crazy good deals!
