What's For Sale Sunday (Juneau, Alaska)

I've never had the occasion to visit Alaska myself (My invite from Sarah Palin must have been lost in the mail...) but friends and family who have been assured me it is a beautiful area worth visiting.  So today I'll be looking at Juneau, Alaska at some low, mid and high priced homes for sale.

The home in the photo above has a million dollar view but is listed for a more reasonable $474,000.  It offers 3 bedrooms and 4 baths in 2,160 sq ft.

The kitchen might need some updates unless you're a fan of light wood in tiny spaces.

The bathroom decor and finishes confirm that the home was built in 1996.

A truly lovely backyard.

The second house is another place with an incredible view of the lake and mountains.  It  has 4 bedrooms and 5 baths in 3,072 sq ft and is listed for $789,900.

An even tinier kitchen but it does have double ovens and granite counter tops.

A sunny dining area with a view of the lake.  (I guess it's okay to have a telescope pointed out your window if you don't have any houses behind you.)

You can tell the house was designed with the view in mind.  (A long narrow living room with a fireplace shoved off in a corner.)

The third home has a somewhat bland exterior but the $1.55 million price tag demands attention.  The roomy 5,257 sq ft sports 3 bedrooms and 5 baths.

Don't be misled by the plain exterior, this home is full of surprises.

This modern home takes "open concept" to heart.

The kitchen showcases huge windows and a curved eating bar.

Swim hours of laps against the current in the "Endless Pool."   (I love the view of the snow outside the window.)

So here is a small sampling of Juneau real estate.  Which is your favorite?

1) The view, the whole view, and nothing but the view?

2) Telescopes welcome.

3) Shy exterior, extroverted interior.
