A Plethora of Pillows

So as a new blogger I'm learning all the time. Lesson learned today: Don't leave your blog unattended while the Husband is in the room. Luckily, he just added a comment for the label at the bottom of the post. And then he posted it. Thanks, Dear. Now everyone knows "my husband hand stitched these pillows while in a prison in Guam..." (Knowing him, I got off easy....) I've been on a quest as of late. (Nothing that requires the skills of Indiana Jones or Chuck Norris, mind you.) I've been searching for a few "perfect" pillows.
Pillows are the easiest and fastest way to transform a room. And with so many choices out there now, you'll be sure to find something that fits your taste.

I do a lot of shopping at thrift stores but only buy items that I can clean, wash or transform. Pillows are a little tricky cleaning. Therefore I won't be doing secondhand this time.

I went to a few different stores today hoping to get lucky. (With finding the perfect pillow, that is.)

Here is the pillow aisle at Marshalls. Ruffles seem to be in. There were some cute ones but nothing that really wanted to go home with me.

Here is a colorful one from Crate and Barrel.

I went to a few more places but was getting a little frustrated at the limited selection in each store. I want something a little more unusual then what the average retail store sells. Plus, I'm trying to get over the "sticker shock" of paying retail in the first place. If I'm going to pay full price then I'd better LOVE it.

Online might be the way to go. Look at these beautiful pillows from apartmenttherapy. I'm digging the orange and green flower.

These from alexandra have some applique going on. Really like the pink leaves.

I thought this graphic pillow was cute and it fits my color scheme. (Light tourquoise, anyone?)

These pillows from tiny parachute really inspired me to try to make some of my own. Very original.

I then went to the premier place for pillows and all things handmade, Etsy.

And all of a sudden, TRUE LOVE! There is something about this Queen Bee pillow that I really, really like. I want it! Should I get it? Should I pay the "normal" pillow price plus shipping? I don't know. I'll have to sleep on it...
