Gameroom Update

Our gameroom is in desperate need of some updating. Or as my daughter said, It's like a contestant on the show, What Not to Wear. I painted the star a number of years ago when I needed to fill the space between the windows. I've had these 9 frames stacked in my room for longer than I care to mention. I've been wanting to hang them in a grid pattern and put in 8x10 pictures of our family.

I haven't decided yet which pictures to use so in the meantime I'm just going to hang up the frames and use scrapbook paper in place of the photos.

I didn't notice until I was ready to hang the frames that they all had two loops on the back. That meant that I needed to go back to the store for wire to hang them.

I had to go to two stores to find the wire I needed.

One more look at the star after I removed the mirror and right before I painted the wall.

Sometimes you may have to change the project when your vision of it and the reality of it don't quite match up. In Hobby Lobby, the pink paper looked really good with the silver and black papers. Once I hung them on the wall I realized that it wasn't really doing it for me. Also, the 9 frames were too overwhelming but 6 was just right. Since I was using fewer frames I was able to switch out the pink papers.

Here is the finished wall. I'm happy how it turned out.

(I'm really irritated that my camera (me) cannot take a decent picture in front of the windows.)

The pillows are from Target.
