Last weekend I went to the Habitat for Humanity Restore with some fellow bloggers. Aside from the oven like temperatures inside we were able to find some cast off pieces with great potential.

One of the items I brought home with me was this standard lighting fixture.

It only took a little disassembling and a few moments of "where the heck do I put this part?"

Here is the end result, a brass rimmed cloche.

Add some fresh carnations. It was a very simple project with immediate gratification. I love that there was no painting, sanding, staining, hammering or sewing involved.

Once more, the before, an unglamorous lighting fixture.

And the after, a fancy cloche.
